Welcome back! I’m Dr. Bertolero, and today we’re diving into a topic that’s essential for your health: hydration.

We all know that drinking enough water is important, but did you know that even mild dehydration can affect your mood, energy levels, and overall well-being? Staying properly hydrated helps your body perform at its best, from regulating your body temperature to keeping your joints lubricated and supporting your digestion.

But let’s be honest, guys—getting enough water each day can be a challenge, especially with busy schedules and the distractions of daily life. That’s why today, I’m sharing some simple hydration hacks to help you stay on track.

First, start your day with water. After a night’s sleep, your body is naturally dehydrated, so drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning can jumpstart your hydration and help wake you up. If plain water doesn’t sound good to you, try adding a slice of lemon or a splash of juice for flavor.

Next, carry a water bottle with you wherever you go. Having water on hand makes it easier to sip throughout the day, and it serves as a visual reminder to stay hydrated. If you’re someone who forgets to drink, try setting hourly reminders on your phone or using an app to track your intake.

Another tip is to eat your water. Yes, you heard that right! Many fruits and vegetables, like cucumbers, oranges, and watermelon, have high water content and can contribute to your overall hydration. Including these in your meals and snacks is a tasty way to boost your water intake.

Finally, listen to your body. Thirst is a sign that you’re already on your way to being dehydrated, so try to drink before you get thirsty. Pay attention to other signs like dry skin, headaches, or fatigue, which can also indicate that you need more water.

Step Up Chiropractic Patients,

I want to personally share an important update about the clinic.

After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to close Step Up Chiropractic. My last day seeing patients will be Thursday, April 9.

It has truly been an honor to care for so many members of this community. I am incredibly grateful for the trust you have placed in me over the years and for the relationships we’ve built.

Between now and April 9, I will continue seeing patients on a limited schedule (Mondays and Thursdays starting next week). If you have visits remaining in your care plan and would like to schedule before the closing date, please contact the office as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate you, or you can schedule online at stepupchiropractic.com.

Mahalo for being part of the Step Up Chiropractic community. I sincerely wish you continued health and wellness moving forward.
